An Audience of One
It’s funny. Once upon a time, my journalling exploits were on LiveJournal. I remember uploading a post, and within minutes, I was surreptitiously scanning my email, and my post to see if anyone had commented yet. Granted, part of me went back to the post to do what all writers and editors do, reread, pick at it, make sure all the extra fat is gone. But back then, it was an act of vanity as well.
Now, I have a blog – a completely new one that, as far as I know, is rather a mystery to any of my online circles. Despite the fact that I’ve started updating it, if albeit weekly, I’m keeping it a mystery. The subconscious has apparently thrown the vanity right out the window and for whatever reason is keeping this our dirty little secret. Hrm.
